Who is EuroClio, and Why are We Organising this?

EuroClio, the European Association of History Educators, is a vibrant community dedicated to promoting inclusive, critical, and multiperspective history education across Europe and beyond. Founded in 1992, EuroClio supports history educators by developing innovative resources, facilitating professional development, and advocating for history education that nurtures democratic citizenship and mutual understanding.

One of our flagship initiatives is our Annual Conferences, through which we offer an opportunity for like-minded professionals to network, explore their professional development and advance essential topics in their field.

With the 2026 Annual Conference, EuroClio aims to empower educators with practical tools and inspiring methodologies that integrate hope and critical engagement into the classroom, helping students understand the complexities of history and envision their roles as active agents of positive change.
